I apologize ahead of time for not doing a full Oscars fashion recap to go over all of the trends, who looked best, who looked worse than the rest, etc. I think everyone agrees that there were a lot of great looks, but nothing completely omg, jaw dropping. A little on the safe side this year. So rather than focusing on the actual dresses, I just want to discuss J. Law, Best Actress Winner, Miss Jennifer Lawrence. I’ve been watching her all award season, host SNL, was absolutely blown away by her performance in Silver Linings Playbook, and just when I thought I had seen it all, we all watched her fall…
The second she tripped up the stairs, I thought one thing to myself, it couldn’t have happened to a better woman in that room! (Although I of course would’ve thrown Kristen Stewart in the way to catch Jennifer’s fall, seeing as she already looks miserable with messed up hair, ugh.) She couldn’t seem more real, funny, down to earth, and in that moment after she picked herself up and delivered her acceptance speech, she never looked more beautiful to me! So refreshing in Hollywood!
And in case you missed it, here is her absolutely hysterical post-award show interview (after her admitted post-shot).
What was your Oscar highlight? Besides Jennifer, I was blown away by Seth MacFarlane as I think he’s beyond talented and a comedic genius (despite what the critics said), and I’m still dying laughing over the “Sock Puppet Flight” video!

Leah

I also thought Seth MacFarlane was a fine host. I didn’t find him offensive at all… but then, I was prepared for worse since I have seen “Family Guy”… and I thought the closing number was brilliant!
Jennifer Lawrence is so brave! What composure! To trip like that on national television where people are judging your every move and scrutinizing what you wear, and then to recover and be as real and gracious as she was — that deserved another Oscar! I probably would have burst into tears and tried to hide under my dress…
