I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! We took advantage of some amaaaazing weather and enjoyed time with friends before Jared heads off to Tallahassee for his legislative session. Not to mention I was of course glued to my TV last night to catch all of the Oscar coverage! The dresses, makeup, and glamour [sigh]…loved it all!
I actually thought everyone looked great so I found myself struggling who I thought looked best. I loved the metallics and nudes, the whites, and the classic blacks. It was great to see everyone really step it up for Hollywood’s big night, especially Olivia Wilde, Kate Hudson, and Naomi Watts (still not over her Bulgari necklace and won’t be for some time). Regardless of how the rest of the room looked, my eyes were of course glued to Lupita Nyong’o. And then they of course welled up watching her win her golden statue. All in all, a great night for fashion and film!
So I know I’m slacking on discussing my fav new makeup find, but today is a special day. My grandfather, friend, hero, role model, and truly one of the coolest and smartest men I know is 89 years young today. Grandpa, I wish I was there to help celebrate and pop a bottle of champagne with Grandma while you mix yourself a gin and tonic. I love you to the moon and back and hope you have the happiest of birthdays, as you deserve it more than you even know.
