May Magazine Article

If only April showers brought May flowers, instead of just more showers in South Florida. Here are my top picks for the month from my article in the South Florida Lifestyle Magazines, any of which would make a great gift or just a treat for yourself, don’t forget Mother’s Day is the 10th!

May Article for blog

Smashbox Photo Angle Pure Pigment Gel Liner: I absolutely love a rich gel liner for a dramatic look and prefer an angled tip as it makes it much easier to apply, whether creating a thick or thin line. This offers 36 hours of wear so it’s sure not to smudge and it supposedly doesn’t clump as opposed to similar products by other brands. While I usually opt for classic black, this comes in six colors! ($24, Sephora and Nordstrom)

Dior Rosy Glow Blush: This wonder product is a universal color for everyone, yes, one shade for everyone! While it may seem too bright for your taste, one swipe of this blush adjusts to your skin to create the look of a naturally flushed cheek. It is also buildable for you to create as subtle or as dramatic of a look that you would like. ($44, department stores)

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil: Wouldn’t you love to go to sleep and wake up with firmer and glowing skin? Made up of organic, cold pressed oils this new night treatment reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles and corrects damage caused by the sun, time, and pollution. Use this before bed and wake your skin up with the cult classic Good Genes Treatment in the morning for an instant radiance boost. ($105, Sephora)

Too Faced Melted Lipsticks: As the weather heats up, it’s only fitting to use a “melted lipstick”. This product has the shine of a gloss, the long wear of a stain, and the pigment of a lipstick, all in one! My favorite colors include Strawberry, Candy, and Berry. Tip: Apply with a lipstick brush or wand as I think the applicator can get pretty messy. ($21, Ulta)

Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel: This gel supposedly gives you the benefits of a peel, but without the harsh side effects, which is what terrifies me about peels! You instantly feel the dead skin lifting as you massage it into your skin, exfoliating it all away leaving your skin smoother, softer, and brighter looking after a single use. ($34, Sephora)

Cheers to a great month!

Xo,
Leah
