Manic Manis…Love it or Leave it?

So if you’re a woman and have had your eyes open for the past year, you’ve seen that funky manis are all the rage these days.  But is it something you’d love to do yourself or would leave for someone else to rock?  One of the most innovative nail polish companies offering such crazy mani ideas is Ciate.

Currently, they have the following nail polish sets available…which would you try?

Very Colourfoil

Very Colourfoil: Creates a raw foil finish with a mirror-like shine and is available in 3 different color palettes.

Velvet

Velvet: Create velvet-coated nails, very unique!

Sequined

Sequined: This gives a raw sequin-like texture, with your choice of two different color schemes.  Talk about party paws!

Caviar

Caviar: This kit was sold out all over Sephora’s nationwide as it was all the rage!  Featuring pearlescent black beads for a 3D effect.

Chalkboard

Chalkboard: Ciate’s newest kit that turns your nails into 10 mini chalkboards.  You can even wipe the chalkboard pen creation on your nails and start over!  Chalk chic?

So are you loving or leaving?

Humpday Helper: Saks Friends & Fam

It’s here!!!  The day has arrived, Saks is now on Friends and Family and this time around they’ve outdone themselves.  Instead of offering their usual 20% off, they are offering 25% off!  That’s right, 25% through Sunday!  Thank you Saks!!  As always, there are of course exclusions (which I’m sure Jared is happy about or he knows I’d be welcoming the Celine bag I’m currently obsessing about into our family), but there are just so many amazing items that you are able to score the great discount on.  Here’s what I’m loving!

Saks F&F

1. DVF Reagan Top – My new favorite sleeveless blouse, beyond versatile.  Let’s just say I own in multiple colors.

2. Oliver Peoples Benedict Aviator Sunglasses – I made the mistake of trying these on in the store.  Perfect aviators.

3. Tory Burch Pacey Leather Thong Sandals – A gorgeous, chic pair just in time for the warmth.

4. DVF Achava A-Line Cutout Dress – The LBD that I long for, beg for, and desire.

5. Kate Spade Little Minka Shoulder Bag – Love this shade of Tangerine.  Perfect pop of color to make an outfit!

6. Dior Metal Aviator Sunglasses – Yes, these are the same ones I mentioned in my Bloomies F&F post.  Clearly still not over them…

Is there something you’ve been lusting over?  Now’s the time to purchase!  Who enjoys paying full retail?  Not this girl!

Cosmetic Case of the Tuesdays?

My deepest apologies for not blogging yesterday, I know you guys cried off all of your mascara because of it.  With my reunion this past weekend (which ended up being a true BLAST from the past, thanks to everyone who came and partied!) and with celebrating an amazing Heat win Sunday night at the first Playoff game of the season, Monday’s blog came and went sadly enough.  But the show must go on and makeup must be blogged about, so how about a Cosmetic Case of the Tuesdays?  Hell, we’re still all counting down until Friday…

205 givenchy

So amongst my purchases during Sephora’s Chic Week in which VIB members received 15% off, I splurged on a lipstick.  Usually I try to be fairly conservative with my lipstick purchases since I buy so many (cue to my MAC collection), but once I tried on Givenchy’s new Le Rouge lipstick in Fuchsia Irresistible, #205, I knew I had to have it.  It is the most gorgeous shade of vibrant fuchsia, one of my favorite colors this season which can totally make an outfit!  The lipstick is semi-matte and is encased in genuine leather, ooh la la!

fuchsia irresistible

After my lipstick purchase I thought I was content.  That is until I made the mistake of browsing on Sephora yet again and realizing that Givenchy makes a matching Fuchsia Irresistible nail polish.  While I’m not totally one for being matchy-matchy, this polish is gorgeous in itself and I do think it can look very chic when you have such a gorgeous shade on your lips and your nails, just as long as your ensemble is pretty simple (think black and white).  I obviously realized I had to have the polish as well.  And for those of you who think it’s just a nail polish and there are a million others out there, I’ll have you know I brought it to the salon for a mani on Friday and I’ve received multiple compliments on the shade since!  And yes, this too is topped with a leather-like cap.  Double ooh la la!

Check out the goodies and treat yourself as well, you deserve it!

Fashion Friday: Reunion Ensembles

Well we made it to another Friday and I couldn’t be happier!

Tomorrow I have my 10 Year High School Reunion, which is completely surreal despite the fact that I have helped plan the event for the past few months.  So once all vendors were booked and tickets were sold there was just one thing to work on…the attire.  What does one wear to a high school reunion?  All we know of is to refer to Romy and Michele or the gang from American Pie.  Since our reunion is taking place is a really neat venue in Miami I wanted something fun, but with the unfortunate reminder that we are definitely getting old, still something that couldn’t be mistaken for prom.  I searched in my closet as well as some stores and websites and here are some of my options…which to choose??

Cheers to a great weekend and an even better reunion!

Humpday Helper

Happy Humpday!

Looking for a way to flawlessly apply your face makeup, specifically foundation and concealer?  Try out a non-disposable makeup sponge to achieve just that!  The cone shape is perfect for you to use the smaller end to apply concealer under your eyes.  When chatting it up with Lilly Ghalichi, I learned she loves using these herself!  You can also use them for loose powders, cream blush, and more!  Try the BeautyBlender Sponge (which is an Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner) for a splurge or save with the Soho Beauty Sponge.

Cosmetic Case of the Mondays

Hello hello!  I hope everyone had a terrific weekend, I know I did!  And how could I not?  I took full advantage of 15% off at Sephora with their VIB weekend!  Amongst some of the goodies I picked up, I’m really excited about a couple new products that just hit the shelves!

dior addict

Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Gloss

So I know I’ve expressed how obsessed I am with Dior Addict Lip Glow (the sheer balm that enhances your natural lip color while providing the most amazing moisture!) so I almost flipped when I saw that they came out with a gloss version!  It once again pulls your natural lip pigment while providing such gorgeous shine and once again amazing moisture!  I also read that in a study of 32 women, 97%  found their lips were hydrated and plumped up.  I highly recommend!

sun bunny

Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer

So when it comes to bronzers there are two things you must know about me, 1. I love it and can’t get enough and 2. I highly prefer matte over shimmer.  I was highly intrigued when I heard that Sephora was going to begin carrying this bronzer again.  It is a dual-toned bronzer that combines the look of goldenbronze and a classic bronze that mimics the perfect natural tan without looking orange.  I still prefer a matte bronzer (I love this one and this one, fyi) for all over the face, but I’m loving the look of this on the cheekbones and t-zone for a glowing look!

More on the rest of my new treats later!  Cheers to a great week!

Xo,

Leah
