Cosmetic Case of the Mondays: New Goodies

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!  It was so nice to have Jared home as he is now living in Tallahassee during the weekdays for the Legislative Session, and we were able to celebrate our second wedding anniversary!

Makeup

So like many of my weekends, I made sure to squeeze in time at the makeup counter and pick up some new products as well as some restocks.  These included Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum, Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Nudist,  Bobbi Brown Bronzer in Golden Light, and C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm.

What products have you recently purchased?

Humpday Helper: Fuzzball Fixer

I know some states are getting rocked by snow right now, so I probably shouldn’t whine that it’s been in the low 50s here the past couple of mornings (especially since it warms up to the 70s by lunch), but I’m sure everyone shares one thing in common: our sweaters are probably looking like they’ve been through the ringer by now.  I don’t know about you, but it kills me to see fuzzballs all over my sweaters (even if they are just from Target), making them look like a 5 year old’s bathing suit bottom.

Sweater Saver

So want to know how to remove them and revive your winter wardrobe?  Here’s the trick: Try the Hollywood Fashion Secrets Sweater Saver, which is what I use and think is a miracle worker!  Or you can also test out a disposable razor or a pumice stone and stroke downwards and remove all the shedding fuzzies.

Stay fuzz-free!

Cosmetic Case of the Mondays: BUXOM Lipstick

I hope everyone had a terrific weekend! I had a great time with friends and family celebrating birthdays and bachelorettes (including a Skype date with my grandparents for my Grandpa’s 88th birthday!).

So you know I love myself a great lipstick, as well as the fabulous BUXOM line so it’s no shocker that I am totally digging their new Full Bodied Lipsticks!  There are 10 colors available of the full-coverage lipsticks which are ultra hydrating as well as offer a major plumping effect without the usual tingle.

Buxom

My favorite colors are Nudist (Nude Beige), Provocateur (True Red), Exhibitionist (Bright Fuchsia), Hooligan (Mauve Plum), and Menace (Rich Wine).

I highly recommend checking them out asap and test out what your favorite color is!

Fashion Friday: Louise Loirette Jewelry

Happy Friday everyone!

I am so beyond excited for today’s post.  I’m here to tell you about an amazing jewelry line that features the cutest, sweetest, and funky pieces, and are made by love from my friend Caroline (AND it’s reasonable!).  Caroline and I are sorority sisters from college and what’s awesome about her line is how versatile it is and what a wide array of women it appeals to.  You see, Caroline and I have VERY different styles (any of our friends can attest to that, although we share the gift/curse of never shutting up!) and yet, she designs it, makes it, and I adore it!

Louise Loirette

Caroline began making jewelry after she and her husband got engaged. She loves boutique jewelry and wanted to buy some cute simple earrings for her bridesmaids. Realizing how expensive they all were, she decided that she could probably make them easily and started doing research on materials and techniques, reading everything she could about jewelry making and finally, painstakingly practiced and practiced and practiced some more! She realized her niche was beading and simplistic jewelry and since then she’s mastered many new techniques besides beading and continues to grow her line everyday!

Roxanne

The Roxanne Spike and Rhinestone Tribal Statement Necklace, available in multiple colors!

Necklaces

Gold Plated Curved Tube Bead Necklace / The Block Letter Initial Necklace (You can even order multiple for your initials, love!)

Earrings

Mint Stud Earrings (Available in Coral, Turquoise, Yellow, and Black as well!)

The line has been taking off and it’s great to see a bunch of our friends getting such beautiful pieces for bridesmaids, new moms, anyone, and everyone!  Best part is you can receive 20% off now through March 8th with promo code LLL20!  Stock up now!

LLL20

Enjoy and have a great weekend!  And to all my Zetas out there, ZLAM!  (I had to…)

Humpday Helper: Red-Orange Nails

So I was on the quest for the perfect shade of red-orange nail polish to go with my new leopard skirt to wear for my birthday.  Now anyone who knows me knows that when I get fixated on something, there’s no going back!  Well I started getting frustrated when I couldn’t find the perfect shade that I hoped to, so I took matters into my own hands (literally).

Red-Orange

To accomplish one of my new favorite nail polish colors, we did one coat of OPI Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It, and since that can sometimes come off as bit too orange, we topped it off with one coat of Essie Snap Happy.

Birthday Mani

LOVED the end result!  And if you’re looking for a good lip color to match, try Buxom’s new Full Bodied Lipstick in Rogue or YSL’s No. 13 Le Orange (Kourtney Kardashian’s signature lipstick).

Leah
