I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I enjoyed seeing Silver Linings Playbook (which I loved!!) as well as tuning into the Golden Globes last night.  Huge congrats to Lena Dunham and GIRLS for Best Actress and Best TV Series!!

Naked Basics

As I’m sure you all know by now, I am a huge fan of Urban Decay’s NAKED collection, both the original NAKED palette and NAKED 2.  Well they recently did it again and came out with NAKED Basics featuring six matte neutral colors.  I’m loving mixing the colors and even mixing them with the other two palettes as well, but keep in mind these colors really are very matte so I like using them as base colors and layering others on top.  Overall, this is a great new addition to the NAKED collection!

Couldn’t be happier that the end of the work week is finally here!  I’ve had a hectic past couple of days so I had an immediate smile when my friend Katie sent me this awesome Wildfox hoodie yesterday on Pinterest (follow me!) with the simple message of “Oh hi – This is you”.

GIRLS

Ok, if you haven’t seen the ridiculously amazing work of the Lena Dunham in HBO’s GIRLS, then you need to get on that, stat.  The series  premiered last April and is created, written, and produced (along with Judd Apatow) by the insanely talented 26 year old.  I absolutely fell in love with the show and am counting down the minutes until Season 2 begins this Sunday at 9pm!

The series is a comedy about a group of girlfriends in their 20s in New York City.  And no, it’s not just like SATC…these girls are young, discovering themselves, hang in Brooklyn, and attend parties in abandon warehouses.  Lena is an utter genius, Allison Williams (daughter of the awesome Brian Williams) is stunning, and Zosia Mamet who plays Shoshanna couldn’t make me laugh more.

Deborah Lippmann

To help kick off the second season, ultra chic nail brand Deborah Lippmann created four new shades inspired by each of the GIRLS characters and even collaborated with Lena for her character, Hannah’s, shade.  Get your paws on the set for HANNAH Hapless Hunter Green, MARNIE Prim And Proper Pink, SHOSHANNA Virtuous Vivid Violet, JESSA Bohemian Burgundy.

And in case you’ve missed it, purchase the Season 1 DVD and catch up before Sunday night!

Humpday Helper: Let’s Try This Again…

So on Monday I tried posting about some new fun makeup products and then I find out my site was somewhat hacked and when I posted it on Facebook, it actually posted about Viagra!  Now I know I provide “Humpday Helpers”, but that’s a little too helpful for your Humpday…

Over this past weekend I got some new goodies to add to my collection (which we’ll pretend doesn’t happen every  weekend):

Stila All Day

Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer: I’m always on the search for a great foundation (my compilation is getting a little ridiculous, even in my opinion), so as soon as I walked into Sephora in Boca yesterday and saw one of my favorite makeup artist’s (contact her, she’s amazing!), face looking absolutely, postively flawless, I had to ask her what she was wearing.  When she laughed and informed me that she only had three hours of sleep the night before and it was all thanks to her miracle foundation, I had to buy it!  Turns out she was wearing Stila’s newest foundation, the Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer.  It comes in 16 shades and also contains a matching concealer inside the cap with a mini-mirror for touch ups.  I went with 08 – Honey and can’t wait to test it out myself!

Bella Bamba

Benefit Cosmetics Bella Bamba: I’m a huge fan of all of Benefit’s “boxed face colors”, as I call them, (Hoola, Dallas, and Sugarbomb are some of my faves), and I have been meaning to try Bella Bamba.  It is a watermelon-pink blush with shimmering golden undertones, which claims to amplify cheekbones, highlight your skin, and give an illusion of sculpted features.  It comes with a mini brush and a mirror tucked inside the lid and is a gorgeous color on any cheek!

Excited for my new goodies!  (And for the record, I by no means am referring to Viagra.)

It’s here!  It’s finally here!  The sale that all Neiman Marcus shoppers have been waiting for, Last Call is here!  It began this past Saturday and runs through this Friday, both online and in stores.

Hi kids!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mine was spent relaxing with friends and family, a little pilates action (followed by eating some amazing food of course), and bringing home some new additions to the makeup collection (we’ll just pretend that this was out of the ordinary and doesn’t happen every weekend).

Fashion Friday: GapFit

Well thank goodness for the quick week and it being Friday already!

So I know I’m no Jillian Michaels, in fact I just attended my first pilates class this past weekend for the first time in months, yikes!  However I do love me some workout clothes!  In college one of my best friends, Alexis, and I dressed for the gym almost every day just to attend classes and have lunch at our sorority house. Hey, the walking and gabbing was our exercise!
