Humpday Helper: Yorkie Cam Cuddle Sesh

Needing a good laugh?  Check out YorkieCam on The Pet Collective’s YouTube channel.  There you will find the most delicious yorkie puppies, two boys and a little girl, who are less than three weeks old.  I dare you to watch this live streaming video and not smile from ear to ear, or in my case practically squeal.

Even Fozzie Bear’s loving the YorkieCam!

Enjoy the Yorkie yumminess!

Birthday Boy

Hi everyone!

I’d like to wish a happy happy birthday to Jared today!  We had a great time celebrating with our friends on Saturday night, as well as also getting a chance to formally celebrate him winning his election!

Check out the cake I got him from the wonderfully talented Ali from Papery & Cakery, which tasted a-ma-zing!  (Yes, his nickname is Mouse.)

Have an amazing day Jar!

Leah

Thoughts and Prayers

Taking a break from Cosmetic Case of the Mondays to say our thoughts and prayers are with  the families and community of Newtown, CT.

In case you missed it, SNL traded their usual comedic satire in their opening skit on Saturday night for a beautiful and powerful tribute of Silent Night sung by the New York City Children’s Choir.  Click here to view the touching performance.

Fashion Friday: Kate Spade Tees

Happy Friday Kids!

I clearly can’t shut up about every bit of merchandise by Kate Spade right now, so I won’t!  Totes loving these witty tees, although I can’t decide which I love the best.  My friends would probably say the Candy, Darling is most fitting for me. (Last minute gift idea Jar…cough cough.)

Tee up!

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things…

So you’ve read my Gift Guides from last week (and if you haven’t, you should!), but do you want to know the things I already own that I REALLY love?  I mean love love. Check out my post on Papery & Cakery today to read the 10 things I heart the most.  It isn’t too late to add them to your final holiday wish list!

Humpday Helper: Marvelous Mani How-To

Like the awesome mani I’m sporting seen here?  Well today’s Humpday Helper include the easy steps to accomplish this awesome look!

1. Be sure to always use a great base coat.  I’m loving nails inc. Kensington Caviar Base Coat lately!

2. Apply two coats of one of my favorite nail polishes of all time, Essie Smokin’ Hot, which is the perfect dark smoky grey with a purple-like hue.  Love.

3. Over the Smokin’ Hot, apply a generous coat of nails inc. Special Effects 3D Glitter Nail Polish in Sloane Square.  I did this on just my ring fingernail as you can see.

4. Seal it all up with top coat and really let them shine.  I’m obsessed with how smooth the nails inc. Kensington Caviar Top Coat goes on.

And don’t forget your drying drops to avoid messing up the mani!

Leah

An Epic Engagement

I interrupt the discussion of lipsticks and nail polishes to say that I had such an amazing weekend in D.C. this past weekend with some of my oldest friends to surprise our friend Stephanie after her now fiance proposed.  We had such an incredible time celebrating and it reminded me how valuable friendships are.  Treasure them always.

Couldn’t be happier for Steph and Mike!  Let the wedding planning begin!

{And fear not, the weekend still included many discussions about makeup and fashion as I got to share a hotel room with three girlfriends.  We all left with shopping lists of things to buy that we liked of one another’s.  On the top of my list, Harmony blush by MAC to help contour, yay!}

Xo,

Leah
