October Magazine Article

Hi everyone!

So not only is it October, but it’s practically mid October – whaaat?! It’s already been a hectic start of the month with my son’s 3rd birthday, celebrating Rosh Hashanah, Hurricane Matthew, and a huge FSU win this past weekend. All in the 10 days! And of course this means Halloween is like 20 minutes away, so let’s discuss getting our costumes and masks ready! Unlike football, there’s no penalty for these face masks from this month’s Lifestyle Media Group Magazine Article – only rejuvenated skin!

October Beauty Magazine Article

Deep Cleaning
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay MaskThis carbonated Korean clay mask is like a bubble bath for your face! Once applied, it bubbles as it removes dirt, exfoliates, and unclogs pores, and sloughs off dead skin cells. You can use 2-3 times a week and is suitable for most skin types, but especially oily. $11; Amazon, www.us.memebox.com

Pore Clearing
Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores: The charcoal is like a magnet for even the deepest dirt, leaving your skin pure. Best used once a week; safe for dry and sensitive skin. $26; Sephora, www.origins.com

Acne Fighting
Glamglow Supermud Clearing TreatmentNo list is complete without this product. Though on the pricier side, it helps clear up breakouts and discoloration. Leave on for five to 20 minutes; use as often as needed as a full mask or spot treatment.
$69; Sephora (Currently Sephora has a great Limited Edition gift that includes a full size mask as well as travel size Thirstymud and Youthmud Treatments for the same $69!)

Too Cool for School Egg Cream Firming MaskThis one-time-use Korean sheet mask will firm and plump your skin with collagen and egg extract ingredients. After just 20 minutes, skin will appear, firm, plumped, hydrated, and nourished. $6; Sephora, Amazon

Anti-Aging (Not pictured)
Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea MaskThis best selling mask includes mud from the Dead Sea, which is known for being highly effective against blemishes and will also draw out oil and toxins, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The mask can even be used on the body to help remove cellulite. $15; Amazon, www.purebodynaturals.com

Halloween is only three weeks away so get mask ready today!

MAC: It’s A Strike Collection

So I clearly have my fair share of makeup. Like more than the average bear. Ok, I have a lot of f-ing makeup and technically shouldn’t get another beauty item for the next decade. So I try to avoid falling weak when I see a new collection and buy the whole thing but when I saw MAC’s new It’s A Strike collection, I could’ve bought almost every item before even trying them on. I mean, look at these colors!

MAC It's a Strike

These shades have me so ready for Fall, I wanted to share my faves so you can share in my excitement and purchase your faves before they’re all sold out (and yes, they’re selling out, I actually have two more items that are coming in the mail because my local store was sold out of them). Some of the pieces in the collection are staple colors, just like many collections, so I tried to just focus on the limited shades.

Perfect Score: Described as Deep Red, I was happy that it was a Matte finish as I usually prefer a matte look especially with a bold red lip. The color is rich, full of pigment, and was easy to apply evenly. And while I have more red lipsticks than I can count, as soon as I tried it on I knew I needed to add it to my collection. I like that it’s a deep red, different than a classic cherry red, but not completely dark like a brick red. I’m really excited to wear this during the upcoming seasons!

Perfect Score MAC Lipstick

Babes & Balls: This lipstick is exclusive to mac.com and is described as a Deep Burgundy. Again, was relieved it had a Matte finish and I’m SUCH a sucker for a berry lip. In my opinion, it’s the perfect shade for Fall and will totally complete an outfit of skinny jeans, booties, and long cardi. If you remember my obsession for ‘Fashion Revival‘, this is similar but a little darker and they’re both amazing!

Babes and Balls MAC Lipstick

Cremesheen Lip Gloss
It’s A Strike: Typically I don’t gravitate towards glosses since lipsticks excite me more, but I was definitely drawn to this one which is described as a Soft Nude Pink, but I actually think it’s almost more of a soft nude mauve, which I really like. I think it’ll be perfect worn alone for subtle color and shine and probably will also look amazing worn over my favorite light pinks/nudes/mauves (Please Me, Angel, Lovelorn, Captive..to name a few).

It's A Strike MAC Cremesheen

Eye Shadow
300 Game: This is described as Blackened Cherry and is as pigmented as all of MAC’s other shadows and I loved again how different it is than other shades you see and probably own.

300 Game MAC Eye Shadow

Bowl Out: This shadow is described as a Midtone Grey and while I decided not to purchase it because I had to make sure my husband wouldn’t leave or kill me, I wanted to just note how pretty this shadow really is! While it may be a little similar to other shades you’ve seen (because it’s so pretty and versatile), I love the pigmented color and really like that it’s matte. You can mix it with anything and it would look great…and I’m currently regretting not buying it, sigh.

Bowl Out MAC Eye Shadow

Face Powder/Highlighter
Trophy: This is described as a Pearlmatte Face Powder and I’m pretty sure the packaging sells itself. But once you stop smiling over the bowling pin and ball design, you’ll see how gorgeous – and different this highlighter is. I like that it gives off a subtle pinky blush/white highlight, which sounds weird but once you blend and buff (and blend again because the white dominates), you’ll see how beautiful this powder looks!

Trophy MAC Face Powder

Lip & Cheek Colour
Blind Score: Described as a Dirty Red Lilac, I was completely intrigued by this cream cheek and lip colour as soon as I saw it. I loved that it was completely different than other blush shades I have and that I could wear it on my lips as well. I have a feeling this will compliment any plum and berry lipstick when worn as a blush for a perfect monochromatic look. Just use sparingly and build, especially so it doesn’t remove any of your face makeup.

Blind Score MAC Cheek & Lip Colour

Nail Polish
5 Pin: There’s not much to say about this nail polish, which is described as a Deep Wine, except that it is the PERFECT polish for Fall. Period.

5 Pin MAC Nail Lacquer

So now you’re biggest decision of the weekend is what are you going to buy?!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer Eyebrow Pencil:

Colors include nudes, pinks, berries and reds, just as if they belong in your crayon box.  $24; Sephora

Almay Oil Free Makeup Eraser Sticks:
Reach for these eraser sticks when you smudge your eye shadow or mascara – but you’re nervous you’ll mess up the rest of your makeup. They’re especially good for applying eye makeup on the go!  $6; Ulta, Amazon, Drug stores

Cheers to an amazing month ahead!

Hi strangers! It seriously feels like an eternity since I’ve done a post..

I hope everyone had a terrific weekend! If you’re already missing it and struggling to get through the day, hopefully this sale alert will help soften the blow…Tarte Cosmetics started its Friends & Family sale and all products are currently 30% off! {C’mon, that had to have helped your mood a liiittle.}

Tarte Cosmetics

Here are a few of my favorite items as well as some shopping list items, that you can receive the discount on using code FNF as well as free shipping on orders $40 or more! But hurry, the offer ends Wednesday!

Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette

Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette: This is one of my all time favorite eye shadow palettes consisting of 12 brand-new shades, including matte and lustre colors, all on-trend and rich in pigment. The shadows blend well together, and the kit even comes with a step-by-step guide for creating beautiful day and night looks. $45

Tarte Better Bod Bronze and Contour

Better Bod Bronze and Contour: I purchased this item as soon as it came out as I was on the hunt for a tanning lotion that was safe to use while pregnant. After purchasing about five different products from various companies, this was the clear winner! I love the color it gives and was relieved to see that it wasn’t shimmery and smelled good, much unlike the other lotions I returned. The best part, besides it being safe for me to use, was that it simply comes off with soap and water! So no stress if you maybe you don’t love how you applied it or just want a temporary glow. $39

Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser

Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser: I actually just wrote about this brand new product to be featured in one of my upcoming magazine articles, so consider this your inside scoop! This twist-up cleanser is actually a three-in-one facial stick as it does the work of an exfoliator, cleanser, and face mask. It can be used on a general basis without drying you out or left on as treatment mask, leaving it on for 10 minutes before rinsing. $22

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation

Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation: I’ve been eyeing this foundation after hearing some great things about it so now seems like the time to pull the trigger! It offers hydration-boosting coverage including 20% water to keep your skin quenched while also providing 15 SPF coverage. Talk about a perfect foundation for the Summer! $39

Tarte Flush Cheek Stain

Tarte Cheek Stain: This has not only been a bestseller for Tarte, an award winning cheek stain, but also a staple in my makeup bag for years. This iconic stain is lightweight, gives the perfect flush cheek, and offers 12 hours of color. Just blend on the apples of your cheeks and blend with your fingers! It comes in nine shades {six of which are vegan}, but my longtime favorite is ‘Flush’, a gorgeous sheer berry. $30

Happy shopping!

July Magazine Article

So I’m fully {and embarrassingly} aware of the fact that the last time I blogged, I wrote about my June Magazine Article. In addition to my very growing belly, I ended up having some random health issues and was in and out of the hospital throughout the month. So needless to say I am quite excited to welcome July with open arms! While the 4th may be over, you can still look fabulous and patriotic all month long and beat the heat with summer finds in red, white, and {kind of} blue from my Lifestyle Media Group Magazine Article.

July Beauty Magazine Article

Apply it with the Marc Jacobs Shape Contour Brush or use your fingers along your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and Cupid’s bow. $44; Sephora

Apply anything from primer, foundation and concealer to powder and cream blush fast and flawlessly. $20; Sephora

OPI I Am What I Amethyst:
For a different spin on a patriotic mani, opt for this light blue/lilac shade from the brand’s SoftShades Pastel 2016 collection. I love that it’s more neutral than bright cobalt and will look great with a tan! $7-10, Amazon, Ulta

Lancome Juicy Shakers:
The first pigmented lip oil treats your lips like a balm while delivering a touch of color. Bonus, they smell and taste delish! Current favorites include Cherry Symphony (pictured), Meli Melon, and Mangoes Wild.
$21; Department stores

Cheers to an amazing month ahead!

June Magazine Article

Hey there!

Remember when I blogged like a month ago declaring I was back and would start posting regularly again? That was cute, sigh. To say we’ve had a crazy month would be one hell of an understatement. For starters, I’m pregnant with another son on the way! Yay!! But seriously, I’ll try to yell at myself to blog more instead of just parking myself on the couch at night watching Bravo. #multitask

While June marks the first day of Summer, it also means the beginning of hurricane season for us in South Florida. Make sure you stock up on all of your essentials – water, batteries, as well as my following beauty picks for the month from the Lifestyle Media Group Magazine Article!

It comes in both a body lotion, which is super hydrating, as well as a bronzer face cream, which even includes SPF 20! Available in Light and Medium.

MAC Versicolour Lip Stain;
The ultimate combination of a stain, gloss, and a balm, the Versicolour will soon become your new obsession. They’re so lightweight and moisturizing, you’ll forget you have anything on. For the Men - Billy Jealousy White Knight Gentle Daily Facial Cleanser:
There isn’t a product from this brand that my husband doesn’t love, and this cleanser certainly doesn’t disappoint.  Winner of Best Face Cleanser by Mens Health, it thoroughly removes excess dirt and oil, but is gentle enough for sensitive skin (not that they’d admit it’s sensitive!).  This along with any other product from the line would make a great Father’s Day gift for the man in your life.
$20; Ulta, Birchbox, Amazon, and www.billyjealousy.com

Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry:
Every Summer, it’s my goal to perfect the look of the coveted beachy waves and with this spray, I think I’ll do so! Apply allover when wet and blowdry with a round brush to achieve polished, yet voluminous beachy waves. $31; Sephora and www.bumbleandbumble.com

Cheers to an amazing month!
