September Magazine Article

Happy September! Even though we are still facing temperatures in the high 90s with insane thunderstorms here in South Florida, we can mark our calendars to celebrate the first day of Fall on the 22nd! And after a summer in the sun, it’s time to put our best face forward with products that nurture and soothe from this month’s Lifestyle Media Group Magazine Article.

September Beauty Magazine Article

GOLDFADEN MD Doctor’s Scrub:
This powerful exfoliator uses ruby crystals to help slough away dead skin. It also reduces the look of fine lines and minimizes poor size. You can use as often as once a day or as little as just once a week – because it’s that good – for the perfect glow.
$75; Amazon, Bloomingdale’s, Birchbox

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil:
The holy grail of night serums from Sunday Riley plumps the skin and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and dark spots in just four weeks. Because of the power of retinoid oil it’s not recommended for use during pregnancy.
$105; Sephora

Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser:
This twist-up cleanser is actually a three-in-one facial stick, serving as an exfoliator, cleanser and face mask. It can be used on a regular basis without drying out your skin, or left on for 10 minutes as a treatment mask (before rinsing).
$22; Sephora, www.tartecosmetics.com

Son & Park Beauty Water:
This multitasking toner and cleansing water helps create a clean base to help achieve brighter, smoother and clearer skin. Use in the morning as a gentle exfoliant to prepare skin for makeup; use at night to remove makeup, dirt and oil. $30; Sephora, Amazon

GlamGlow Mega Illuminating Moisturizer:
GlamGlow has added a moisturizer to their line. Not just any old one – it’s illuminating! Apply in the morning underneath makeup or wear alone for full hydration that achieves an instant glow. Tip: If wearing underneath foundation, use one that’s matte to avoid looking too shiny. $49; Sephora, www.glamglow.com

Have a fabulous month!

August Magazine Article

And we now find ourselves in August. Sweating and getting poured on in August. Insane.

Earn top marks to start the school year with these beauty musts from my Lifestyle Media Group Magazine Article.

August Magazine Article for Beauty Blog

Lancome Glow Subtil Silky Crème Highlighter:
Keep the summer glow going with this buildable cream highlighter. It has a bouncy, cushy consistency that can be easy applied with fingers or a brush. Available in five different shades to complement any skin tone, without the glittery art class finish.
$30; Sephora

Sephora Collection Pro Full Coverage Airbrush #53:
Use the new school year as your excuse to add a new brush to your collection with this full coverage face brush, winner of Allure’s Best of Beauty in 2015. This is the perfect brush to help apply your foundation smoothly with no streaking.  $38; Sephora

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer Eyebrow Pencil:
I’m a huge fan of this slanted, triangular-tipped pencil, which makes it easy to create full-looking eyebrows. Available in ten shades, this can help fill any sparse areas. It also features a spooley on the opposite end to blend the color and finish the look.
$23; Ulta, Sephora, Department stores

Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayons:
These lip crayons are a great combination of moisture and long-wear color, while being easy to apply. I love that Bite’s formulas are infused with food-grade ingredients, letting your lips feel as good as they look. Colors include nudes, pinks, berries and reds, just as if they belong in your crayon box.  $24; Sephora

Almay Oil Free Makeup Eraser Sticks:
Reach for these eraser sticks when you smudge your eye shadow or mascara – but you’re nervous you’ll mess up the rest of your makeup. They’re filled with Almay’s best selling, oil-free makeup remover and require a simple snap for the formula to fill the cotton tip. Simply remove the smudge and you’re all set. They’re especially good for applying eye makeup on the go!  $6; Ulta, Amazon, Drug stores

Cheers to an amazing month ahead!

Cosmetic Case of the Mondays

Hi strangers! It seriously feels like an eternity since I’ve done a post..

I hope everyone had a terrific weekend! If you’re already missing it and struggling to get through the day, hopefully this sale alert will help soften the blow…Tarte Cosmetics started its Friends & Family sale and all products are currently 30% off! {C’mon, that had to have helped your mood a liiittle.}

Tarte Cosmetics

Here are a few of my favorite items as well as some shopping list items, that you can receive the discount on using code FNF as well as free shipping on orders $40 or more! But hurry, the offer ends Wednesday!

Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette

Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette: This is one of my all time favorite eye shadow palettes consisting of 12 brand-new shades, including matte and lustre colors, all on-trend and rich in pigment. The shadows blend well together, and the kit even comes with a step-by-step guide for creating beautiful day and night looks. $45

Tarte Better Bod Bronze and Contour

Better Bod Bronze and Contour: I purchased this item as soon as it came out as I was on the hunt for a tanning lotion that was safe to use while pregnant. After purchasing about five different products from various companies, this was the clear winner! I love the color it gives and was relieved to see that it wasn’t shimmery and smelled good, much unlike the other lotions I returned. The best part, besides it being safe for me to use, was that it simply comes off with soap and water! So no stress if you maybe you don’t love how you applied it or just want a temporary glow. $39

Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser

Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser: I actually just wrote about this brand new product to be featured in one of my upcoming magazine articles, so consider this your inside scoop! This twist-up cleanser is actually a three-in-one facial stick as it does the work of an exfoliator, cleanser, and face mask. It can be used on a general basis without drying you out or left on as treatment mask, leaving it on for 10 minutes before rinsing. $22

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation

Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation: I’ve been eyeing this foundation after hearing some great things about it so now seems like the time to pull the trigger! It offers hydration-boosting coverage including 20% water to keep your skin quenched while also providing 15 SPF coverage. Talk about a perfect foundation for the Summer! $39

Tarte Flush Cheek Stain

Tarte Cheek Stain: This has not only been a bestseller for Tarte, an award winning cheek stain, but also a staple in my makeup bag for years. This iconic stain is lightweight, gives the perfect flush cheek, and offers 12 hours of color. Just blend on the apples of your cheeks and blend with your fingers! It comes in nine shades {six of which are vegan}, but my longtime favorite is ‘Flush’, a gorgeous sheer berry. $30

Happy shopping!

July Magazine Article

Greetings!

So I’m fully {and embarrassingly} aware of the fact that the last time I blogged, I wrote about my June Magazine Article. In addition to my very growing belly, I ended up having some random health issues and was in and out of the hospital throughout the month. So needless to say I am quite excited to welcome July with open arms! While the 4th may be over, you can still look fabulous and patriotic all month long and beat the heat with summer finds in red, white, and {kind of} blue from my Lifestyle Media Group Magazine Article.

July Beauty Magazine Article

Marc Jacobs Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator:
Whether you’re touching up at a pool party or getting ready for a night out, this portable and easy-to-use highlighter stick {in a universal shade} offera the perfect summer glow. Apply it with the Marc Jacobs Shape Contour Brush or use your fingers along your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and Cupid’s bow. $44; Sephora

BeautyBlender Red Carpet:
If you’re not already a fan of this cult-classic beauty tool, be sure to check out this limited edition iconic red cosmetic sponge that will quickly become your favorite item in your makeup bag. Apply anything from primer, foundation and concealer to powder and cream blush fast and flawlessly. $20; Sephora

OPI I Am What I Amethyst:
For a different spin on a patriotic mani, opt for this light blue/lilac shade from the brand’s SoftShades Pastel 2016 collection. I love that it’s more neutral than bright cobalt and will look great with a tan! $7-10, Amazon, Ulta

Lancome Juicy Shakers:
The first pigmented lip oil treats your lips like a balm while delivering a touch of color. Shake the bottle like a cocktail shaker (how fun?!) to mix the nourishing oils with the pigment, then apply with the soft cushion applicator for a non-sticky shine. Bonus, they smell and taste delish! Current favorites include Cherry Symphony (pictured), Meli Melon, and Mangoes Wild.
$21; Department stores

Cheers to an amazing month ahead!

June Magazine Article

Hey there!

Remember when I blogged like a month ago declaring I was back and would start posting regularly again? That was cute, sigh. To say we’ve had a crazy month would be one hell of an understatement. For starters, I’m pregnant with another son on the way! Yay!! But seriously, I’ll try to yell at myself to blog more instead of just parking myself on the couch at night watching Bravo. #multitask

While June marks the first day of Summer, it also means the beginning of hurricane season for us in South Florida. Make sure you stock up on all of your essentials – water, batteries, as well as my following beauty picks for the month from the Lifestyle Media Group Magazine Article!

Beauty and Makeup June Magazine Article

L’Oreal Sublime Bronzer Summer Express Wash-Off Lotion:
If you’re looking for a little color and glow, but don’t have the time to lay out or nervous to apply self-tanners, this is the product for you! This lightweight lotion will give you an instant tan but without the commitment as it washes right off with soap and water. It comes in both a body lotion, which is super hydrating, as well as a bronzer face cream, which even includes SPF 20! Available in Light and Medium.
$10; Ulta, Target, and Amazon

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation:
Let’s just say it lives up to all of the buzz and hype, it’s amazing!  This 15-hour, flawless foundation looks the same at the end of the day as it did when you first applied it. Not even this heat and humidity can make it budge! Available in 36 shades, there’s sure to be a perfect match for everyone. $38; Sephora, Department stores, and www.esteelauder.com

MAC Versicolour Lip Stain;
The ultimate combination of a stain, gloss, and a balm, the Versicolour will soon become your new obsession. They’re so lightweight and moisturizing, you’ll forget you have anything on. Choose from hues of deep wine, light pink, bright corals, and fiery reds, the only problem is picking which one(s) to purchase! $24; Department stores and www.maccosmetics.com

For the Men - Billy Jealousy White Knight Gentle Daily Facial Cleanser:
There isn’t a product from this brand that my husband doesn’t love, and this cleanser certainly doesn’t disappoint.  Winner of Best Face Cleanser by Mens Health, it thoroughly removes excess dirt and oil, but is gentle enough for sensitive skin (not that they’d admit it’s sensitive!).  This along with any other product from the line would make a great Father’s Day gift for the man in your life.
$20; Ulta, Birchbox, Amazon, and www.billyjealousy.com

Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry:
Every Summer, it’s my goal to perfect the look of the coveted beachy waves and with this spray, I think I’ll do so! Similar to the brand’s trademark big, beachy texture, this foam spray also protects your hair from the drying effects from the sun. Apply allover when wet and blowdry with a round brush to achieve polished, yet voluminous beachy waves. $31; Sephora and www.bumbleandbumble.com

Cheers to an amazing month!
